" Democracy is the least awful form of government. "

Don't let Perfect be the enemy of Good.

To hell with selfish people. To hell with liars.

Resist, or die.
Resist, and ( maybe ) die.
No one wants to 'go first'.

I don't know what's more heartbreaking...that the current president of the United States raped and very likely killed children...or that approximately 1/3rd of this country doesn't care.

Either way, I weep for our country. & my heart breaks for the victims.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

I just keep watching it disappear.

Our free press.
Our right to assembly.
Our freedom of speech.
Our right to due process.
Our right to free and fair elections.
Our protections from illegal search and seizure.
Our private data.
Our warrantless entry protections.

All of it disappearing.

It seems as though almost all Republicans, and a few Democrats, put their short-term personal gain ahead of their country's interests. This is the root cause of our governmental failure.

We have got to be more careful about vetting the people we vote for. And to make damn sure we actually vote.

So is anyone actually trying to do ANYTHING over the Epstein files or are they all just shrugging and moving on?

I need people in jail.

Stop asking if they’re “rigging the election.”
They. Already. Are.
But the most dangerous part isn’t the mechanics. It’s the message.
They’re doing it in public to make you swallow the real lie:
That voting is pointless.
If they can get you to quit before Election Day… they don’t even have to win.

If ICE agents didn't wear masks, they would be FAMOUS for all the wrong reasons. So if you wanna see mass resignations, prevent them from wearing masks.

That said, abolishing ICE is the only way to truly prevent more violence, harm and murder.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

This Homan presser is completely incoherent. He started by announcing a drawdown of 700 agents (good!) but then pivoted to whining about "rhetoric" (bad) and suggested there will be more bloodshed if it doesn't stop (grim). Not clear to me that anything is actually changing on the ground here in MN.

They don’t give a damn about the constitution or laws unless they can be used to support their actions. The people have to defend them. Just pointing at what it says doesn’t do it. As they accomplish more control the constitution will be torn up and the people won’t have any say.
