This black man, who was racially profiled by ICE in a gas station in Minneapolis today, would not have walked away if it weren’t for brave Americans who stood up for him and for those whose deaths have brought ICE’s savagery to the epicenter of national attention.

The whole point is: don't expect the cops to honor any commitment to protect the community in which they live. Instead, remember they are a bunch of petty thugs who just weren't cool enough to be accepted into the local crime syndicate.

This is a "some soldiers" vs "most cops" post, and the context is the Minneapolis PD taking the side of ICE, blindsiding an entire country who was probably hoping/expecting a local police force not to side with an obvious extrajudicial murder in their streets.

if only there had been a movement and momentum several years ago to downsize police budgets, clear out the white supremacists and de-militarize local law enforcement
The elephant in the room is that mayors and governors across the country have very good reason to question the loyalty and allegiances of the state and local police forces and that’s one of the impediments to doing anything about the current occupations

No no no. Expecting politicians to politic, no matter the situation, is ignoring the congressional math. We must all remember that congressional math is all that matters.

Thank God there is video and we don’t have only Kristi Noem’s lies about this - which she likely got from the agents’ supervisor. If there were no videos, as is the case with many criminal incidents, just imagine how big the lies get.
