Incredible to see an all-Black band from Tulsa parade through the streets less than five years after the Tulsa massacre of African Americans by white mobs.

We are living in times where questions like "How are you doing? "How is your family doing?" are real important questions. I said this during the pandemic, and I'm saying it again.

Today, my friends/photographers and I are going to career day at the high school I graduated from, to talk about photography as a career. I'm excited to talk with the young folks about art, and I might show them my yearbook picture (I was the class clown LOL).

Hey, look Jersey City.
It's our friend Pu! She is amazing👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I’m proud to call Jennie Pu a friend. She helped get the NJ Freedom to Read Act across the finish line. We sat side by side when we testified before the NJ Assembly Education Committee, which you can see in @thelibrariansfilm.bsky.social. Jennie’s the REAL joyful warrior!

I thought about a story I read or heard about two Black people standing on a long line at an airport, I believed they were friends. (I'm paraphrasing) While standing on line, white people kept squeezing in between the two of them to get to the other side of the airport.
