Recovering.
Happy ending! Hurrah!
Watching my first Christmas movie with Danica McKellar!!!

"A Christmas Cinderella Ball".

A tiny royal kingdom (Have shite - all English accents!), a possible relationship with a prince, all the usual gubbins.

And one of the Glam Metal Detectives.

Loving it!

In other less interesting news, I realised I borrowed the drums from "Lovesick" for "Four AM". So I need to work out a new drum pattern for "Lovesick". Damn.

Racial abuse in school days is much like bullying in school.

It's so commonplace for the abuser that they don't think about it and don't remember it with any distinction.

It's so awful for the abused that they remember it for the rest of their lives.

Brian Eno - New Depression Music We noted the 50th anniversaries Neil's Zuma and Patti's Horses ... but what about Brian's Another Green World?! Incredibly that LP was released that very same week in....

We are starting the process for our next Motability car this week. None of these makes were under consideration anyway. But if it makes shitty gammons happy then so be it.

I've waited a long long time for a Care album, or even just the three sublime singles to be reissued. Pete and the team at @needlemythology.bsky.social have made my dream come true - this looks amazing. Of course I ordered this immediately.

Ok, sorry, I've been busy spending two days mixing this album but I think I'm happy with it at the moment.

Nine songs, thirty minutes and 33 seconds.

It'll be released on Bandcamp Friday in a week or so.

Blog update: Did Half Man Half Biscuit - indie chart toppers in March 1986 - have anything to do with the Oi subgenre Punk Pathetique? Did it matter? And how did the "Caretaker's Band" at a Liverpool recording studio become cult sensations with a jokey tape anyway?
76. Half Man Half Biscuit - The Trumpton Riots (Probe Plus)
All the singles to top the NME Indie Charts since its launch in 1981, complete with an overview of the other music in the charts each week.

First visit to my old gym and the pool there. I can see why GBS folks call themselves "turtles" now.

Anyway, i swam eight lengths.

Feet and legs tingling.

I have no career path. Programmer, call centre agent, nursing home chef, kitchen porter. What the fuck have I done with my life?
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

You're all laughing at a Nicky Campbell album but come on, it's on a serious record label, they've even released an album by Jackdawg!

Look at that cover!

You want to hear Jackdawg now, doncha?

Jona Lewie was a three-hit wonder, not a two-hit wonder (not that Kitchen At Parties was "massive"; it made the 20 but not the 10). Also, nobody "invents" another human being. Glad to be of service:

Excellent "as it happened" assessment of the singles of July 1977. From sublime to ridiculous - you make up your own mind on that one. In the meantime I'll state "Angelo" and "I feel love" remind me of that August's holiday to Ramsgate, mum pissed on Southern Comfort, Dad crying about Elvis...
Young Punctum blog update reaches the miraculous month of July 1977. To quote Elvis Costello advertising Get Happy!, "LOOK AT ALL THESE HITS!!" Not to mention the extras I've added. If there's nothing here that you like then there's nothing I can do for you:
