as much as i love ffxiv, i am really glad i have one night a week dedicated to playing games with my college (non-ffxiv playing) friends because god I needed a turn my brain off and just fuck around in a new game kind of night (we started playing Enshrouded together)

Not gonna lie, I thought about this for most of my work shift today
A digital comic page featuring Emet-Selch and the Crystal Exarch with Amaurot in the background. Panel 1: Emet-Selch is sneering down at the Exarch and saying “How did a mere shard, a pathetic child of Hydaelyn, master the manipulation of space and time?” Panel 2: He leans down and says “You WILL share your secrets-“ and is interrupted by a large inhale from the Exarch Panels 3, 4, and 5: Close-ups of Emet-Selch’s expression as the edge of a trombone slide creeps into view, as the Exarch plays a mocking “wuhn-wuhn-wuhhhhn”. The slide ends up pushing against Emet-Selch’s face as he stares deadpan at the viewer. Emet-Selch picks the self-satisfied-looking Exarch up by the hood, turns, and throws him against something with a loud CRASH.

The comment he'd made still rang through her mind. "You know, I don't get many opportunities anymore to kneel down to help you with things," her papa had laughed, smiling up at her.

For all the awful things that happened to them so far, she could hope for one boon. As the light faded, Gwen couldn't help the small sigh of relief as she saw Feo Ul properly – in the form she knew them from her childhood. This was the king she knew, this was Titania. Without even thinking, she got down on one knee and bowed her head before the king and heard more than saw Farim beside her do the same – a lesson learned long ago, taught by her papa when they had just begun introducing her to the people of the First. Farim had always been the more polite one of the two of them, always remembering to bow and thank the king, but that didn't mean she didn't remember her manners when it mattered most.
