It has been a difficult couple of weeks for international development, global health, and WHO.
Ten days ago my dear friend and colleague Tania Cernuschi started the 1 dollar 1 world campaign to show WHO still matters.

Please contribute and share.
Wonderful to witness the adoption of the Pandemic Agreement at the World Health Assembly today
I’m still fighting for global health and WHO (as you can see). Join us!

My dear friend and colleague @taniacernuschi.bsky.social has started a campaign 1 Dollar 1 World. WHO isn’t perfect but we need it to protect all of us. Please support it!

A very cool colleague has launched a grassroots effort to support @WHO. It's called 1 Dollar, 1 World. Give what you can afford. I've donated. 🙏 whofoundation.donorsupport.co/page/FUNEKRBXN…#HealthForAllll

A poignant monument
I like it! Wondering about the relationship between this & Kalecki’s financial bubble.
I found another one for you. Happy New Year and thank you for the thoughtful pictures!

As a former Enron employee, I find it odd that Enron is being relaunched, merch and all enron.com/collections/...

I really feel that this should be in French too (oops)
One of the heartening things about WHO’s investment round is the breadth of political support we have received

These are challenging times in global health...but we'll get by with a little help from our friends.

We have started to make a change: in 2020 we had visibility of 17% of our funding for the next four years; now we can count on 53%. Where funding was mostly earmarked, now more is flexible. And our donor base is more resilient, with 39 new donors making commitments.
Important post!
10 years ago today I walked out of the hospital after surviving Ebola.

Back then I begged the world to strengthen our response to that crisis and prepare for others.

I’ve been reflecting on what we’ve learned over the last decade.

And the role of the U.S. in global health🧵
