Tony Renna’s been gone for almost 22 years now (his death anniversary is on Wednesday). I honestly can’t help but think what could’ve been for him had he still been alive today. Tony should still be here, racing or even retired, meeting with his family, etc.-

one of things I find incredibly depressing is that after Renna’s death, Jim Leo (trainer and one of Tony’s closest friends) said that he wanted to quit after finding out Tony was killed in a crash. but Tony’s father, Joe, wanted him to continue. almost made me cry when I first read it.
