Funeral of trees. A picture with a very serious message. Please help save our public lands, our and their very existence depends on it.

Be part of the movement. Be part of the Resistance. This is not the time to sit this out! Get involved. Join local organizations. Be vocal. Fight for your rights. Freedom is worth fighting for.

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize - her incredible optimism has already changed her country. I spoke to her, and wrote about her, at the beginning of this year:

Another good example. It's about a mining town called Prosperity, PA, by someone who lives there and must have been paid by the mining company to write this flagrant puff piece. Published in Bezos-owned Opinions section under his new rules.

Column: I tracked Amazon’s Prime Day prices. We’ve been played.

Another problem that's happening on more sites: "dynamic pricing." The more people who look at an item, the higher the price goes, so it can change more than once the same day.

Governors are meeting, planning, prepping lawsuits to file.

Media should be, but it would be silly to tell us before.

Another nationwide No Kings Day is coming: October 18th.

Nothing ever changes until millions of citizens protest over and over and make it clear that we will VOTE THEM OUT.

Hardy Merriman, former president of the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict re: power of public pressure:

"You don’t need people doing things that are high risk. You just need large numbers of people.... In a backsliding democracy, it's public mobilization that's the guardrail."

These guys have no respect for women. We know that. At every protest, women are always on the frontline! This woman was doing nothing wrong. She was simply protesting. And these thugs violently took her down. What happened to all of our rights to protest? Are we no longer a country that obeys laws?

I don't know how long he has been the director, but I do know that the department hasn't been about protecting fish and wildlife in the 10 years that I've lived in WA.

Thanks for posting this. I reposted and signed the petition.

Another good example of why he should be ousted:

As a devout bear hunter, Susewind has vowed to bring the hunt back, even though 80% of Washingtonians oppose spring bear hunting and only 8% support the hunt.
Screenshot quotes part of the text that's on the official petition, which is shown on the next screen if you click the link to go there. This excerpt describes the reasons for ousting the Washington State Fish and Wildlife director.
