If Keir Starmer was serious about heading off the threat of Reform, he could implement proportional representation, like his own party voted for.

If he does not, it will be a clear sign of him putting party before country, and would be a stark betrayal of his responsibilities as Prime Minister.

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

Reform claim they would scrap Net Zero to get energy bills down.

But renewable energy is *dramatically* cheaper than fossil fuels.

The fuel that’s driving the high cost of energy is gas.

It’s long past time Palestinians were accorded the same rights to life, freedom and self-determination we all but take for granted.

This announcement is welcome, but much more action is needed to end the genocide in Gaza.

There is no illegal way to claim asylum.

The UK does not provide “safe, legal” routes to claim asylum from abroad for all but a few nationalities, like Ukraine. Everyone else has to be in the UK.

No human is illegal.

Our 3rd manifesto ask is to use planning legislation to rule out new renewables and storage developments that don’t provide shared ownership or community benefit funds at a fair level. ⚖️

Planning decisions on projects up to 50MW are devolved, and Scotland should be using these powers. 🧑‍⚖️📜
