I did a report on AIDS in elementary school. Even I, a sheltered conservative Christian kid from the South, knew that gay folks existed—and that they were suffering greatly.
"1985 is what he chose to say, when gays were dying from AIDS and nobody was helping them... let's just go back to that status quo... we don't bother you, you don't bother us. You die, we don't give you healthcare services, and that'll be fine."

Take time to rewatch this. Sean Duffy thinks it’s hilarious. And there’s a gentlemen to Trump’s right who looks incredibly uncomfortable, but standing there nonetheless. He also has a non-US English accent, so perhaps he’s uncomfortable for a reason. He came here to talk about cars but got bigotry.
