An interesting morning’s writing. Currently writing a sex scene and feeling grateful to my former (brilliant) tutor #JacobRoss who, when leading a class on the subject, reminded us to ‘stay in character’ when writing it. It makes it a lot easier (and better!)

Sad. 😢 I remember seeing The Harder They Come around 1974 in Notting Hill. It was inspirational and eye opening. I Can See Clearly Now is such a beautiful and powerful song.

Beautiful day at Levin Down Nature Reserve.
Saw two green woodpeckers, a greater spotted woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and kestrel.
Such a magical place with its yew trees and juniper bushes.

Confirmed world record. #Hurricane #Melissa produced a wind gust reading of 252mph. A Hurricane Hunter dropsonde recorded this gust at 657 feet above the sea, breaking the old record of Typhoon Megi (248 mph in 2010). #wx

Southern Water has apologised for the spill but Helena Dollimore, the MP for Hastings and Rye, wants it to go further by funding the cleanup and any future nature restoration. She is also calling for an independent investigation. “Southern Water cannot be trusted to mark their own homework”

When asked, most people (72.4%) living near lynx in Norway say they LIKE living with lynx. Just 8.3% say they dislike lynx. In Scotland, where we're currently denied the opportunity to live near lynx, the majority of people WANT to see lynx reintroduced.

The @houseofcommons.parliament.uk rejected the science-based amendment 40 to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill (244 votes to 132). We will continue to campaign to limit the damage this badly thought out piece of legislation will do.
