Rising above the high altitude plain are the majestic Tetons, nestling the glacial Lake Jenny. One of the best things about Yellowstone, is how it gobbles up the tourists, as these southern, craggy mountains stand alone.

I've shown images of the aurora borealis before, but this one, with my #Home on the left side, was really special as the northern light are normally not visible in The Netherlands.

Aurora Borealis is rarely visible in The Netherlands and when it is, it is usually limited to some purple hues right above the horizon. On this night however, the aurora was shining bright and high in the sky. The image shows a house and a windmill with a fence from the lower right corner leading the viewer to the windmill. Streaks of green to purple are in the sky, from the horizon all the way up to the top part of the screen. A typical Dutch scene, except for the aurora.

Tipsoo Lake in Mount Rainier National Park, WA State in the summer. The pristine lake has a turquoise/jade tint to it since it was created from ice melt & the meadow surrounding it is covered in wildflowers. It is early in the morning and the sunrise is casting sunbeams down onto the lake. There's early morning fog still in the basin at the bottom of the mountains. The sky is painted orange, yellow, and blue. It was definitely worth the early morning hike!

If you walk around small towns, you find wonders. Everyday life events, architecture, and scenes worthy of being captured, are there not just for yours, but others memories.

This is an old train station with unused tracks now going nowhere.
