A temporary list of my WDS translations: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
My theory is that either that was Regret event, because Kokona could see how desperate Chisa was to be the one to help out back then... Or itʼs something she learned in the initial timeline.
How long since Kokona knew about Chisa’s feelings for Kathrina and Chisa trying to conceal that? How did she realize it? Why did she use the heavy wording she did? What was she aiming to achieve? I really want to understand what was going through her head at that time…

Come to think of it... Maybe Kokona opening up to Chisa didnʼt have an immediate effect, but thanks to that Chisa learned that Kokona was willing to support her... So that really played a huge part in Kokona gaining Chisaʼs trust...
And what about their dialogue of two pretenders? I’m going crazy over the fact that Kokona in fact did try to make Chisa open up by opening up first, but Chisa was just 😐

Chisa surely is aware of the weight of the words, though, and implied exactly what she implied in her question to Kathrina.

Thinking how this contrasts the roof scene from the chapter when Chisa didnʼt join in for the play readings even though Kathrina tried to invite her to, just because Shizuka was there... She really gained so much more confidence 🥹

Youʼd just be wondering if Kathrina wonders what are Chisaʼs aspirations or if Kathrinaʼs aspirations have to do with Chisa 🤭

Anyway, the NY event was great, though it did make me feel bad for Kokona, since it feels more and more like her presence is waning. But her bonding with Chisa was very nice to see.

Thinking there surely must have been another reason why Chisa wanted to join Sirius aside from the one she stated.
January 5, 2026 at 5:19 PM
Listening to Sirius’ 1st album from year 2025 hits differently… It starts with TLP song and TLM song, because those are the songs from the plays, and in the official playlist they precede BD and event songs.

So they did with Nikako, but they are doing Kokonaʼs focus for NY 🤔
I genuinely hope the devs will stick with the release schedule and do Nikako’s focus this month and Yae’s focus for New Year, and only then do Chisa’s focus, leaving one to wonder whether it’s her 3rd, or whether her 3rd actually was Kathrina’s 4th 😂

And Chisa didn’t stuff Kathrina into just any random suitcase, mind you. It was Kathrina’s own suitcase…
December 25, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Frankly, considering it’s Arale who gets abducted in one of YumeMita MVs, it becomes even funnier.
The “dead Kathrina in a suitcase” joke will never not be funny 😂
WDS dropped a new Chisa card, where Chisa wears a T-shirt with an alien holding a cat, and my brain stopped functioning.

The takeaway is that I love mentally ill characters.
December 21, 2025 at 9:28 AM
My experience with YumeMita so far is that, surprisingly enough, their logo is an UFO, thereʼs a character named Ritsu, their character song is titled Empty Puppet and it deals with the themes almost identical to those Doloris and Chisaʼs storylines are built on.
December 21, 2025 at 9:25 AM
I guess that’s also the reason why they ended up in a more or less similar mindset by Cinderella event: Chisa started to give up on trying to pretend little by little and Kokona tried to follow Chisa’s example and break out of that behavior pattern of hers.
Chisa and Kokona giving an initial impression of having zero chemistry? That’s because Kokona follows the principle of not causing others trouble to the extreme, and Chisa is the embodiment of causing others trouble. But, ironically, this is what makes the idea of their friendship so appealing.
December 20, 2025 at 12:06 PM
Chisa generally is incredibly hard to comprehend, because she’s portrayed like a person who doesn’t really understand herself or her surroundings, and at the same time every now and then she is shown to understand way more than she lets on.
December 20, 2025 at 12:02 PM
Also, Chisa, even being the liar she is, still avoids any sort of words with heavy implications like fire, except that one time I mentioned earlier.

And she really took Kathrina’s unintentional “no” very seriously 😭
December 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM
Honestly, now Iʼm going to ponder on their conversation in SCS for the rest of forever.

Watched a couple of Kaname Naito’s videos on Japanese language and culture (primarily on the culture, but he was explaining how some concepts are used in speech and what they imply too). Now I’m going to go insane forever over the insights it provided into WDS.

A random fact about Chisa: Kathrina read German classics because sheʼs a German, and Chisa read German classics, because itʼs a fun pastime.

Ricochi proves that she truly never breaks character yet again 💖

Now Bushiroad has released a video where Doloris is abducted by aliens and then returns as an alien, and I really need to know the meaning behind that.
The game also inverses the roles on purpose. In the story Mito is framed as an alien, because the café she works at is called Maid Planet, which makes Chisa a cowboy, but in the cards Chisa is an alien and Mito is a cowboy. I wonder what that means 🤔
December 18, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Now that I look back on that event story, I wonder if it wasn’t just the workshop that made Chisa try to be a little more proactive, but that she also chose to believe Kathrina, when Kathrina told her that she didn’t take any joy in easy victory and would rather take on Chisa as she was.
Took me this long to realise that this Chisa’s card has lanterns in Kokona and Kathrina’s colors both because Kokona is her second choice after Kathrina and because Kathrina’s existence in her perception is linked to Kokona’s.
December 17, 2025 at 9:43 PM
So… Kokona is depicted with long hair in Promises, BTL, SCS and as Fantine… I wonder if there’s some pattern behind that 🤔
December 17, 2025 at 9:32 PM
In the meantime I also figured that I misinterpreted Kokona’s card from her third focus.
