That said, I wonder if the scene from the NY event where she got overly emotional over both realising she couldn’t buy enough fresh mochi for everyone and being invited by Kamira to a mochi pounding event indicates that she is in fact a very emotional person, who’s been suppressing her emotions.

But when it came to whoʼs allowed to touch Chisa, she in theory could take it into consideration. Not to mention, she made a suggestion to Kokona in return in a deliberately threatening way... That said, I have zero doubts that she would allow Kathrina to touch her, so thatʼs a complex topic...

The other reason could have been as simple as what happened in her side story where she said sheʼd do a massage only for Panda and will only allow Panda to do a massage for her, which Panda didnʼt agree to in fact, and Chisa didnʼt mind doing it for Kathrina afterwards.

Total crazy stuff happens there if one dives too deep, but on the surface itʼs just a cute story about girls doing theatre ☺️

Also, my plan is to spend the time till the next Sirius story thinking about Chisa and Kathrina sitting under the kotatsu.

The whole truth probably is closer to “Chisa joined Sirius, because she loved acting and because Panda did, because Chisa believed she wouldn’t be able to fit in with other actors on her own and would generally feel anxious about entering the new environment.”

In fact, their interest in theater is the only thing they have in common. My point is, Chisa saying she joined only because Panda did isn’t a lie per se, but it’s not the whole truth either.

And their actual hobbies have zero overlap, Chisa’s primary hobbies being cooking and fishing (though she seems to also enjoy physical activities like skating and generally tries just about anything), and Panda being into streaming, socializing, and maybe fashion.

The anime tricks the audience into believing that as a kid Chisa tried out the same activities as Panda, but that simply isn’t true, since said activities were: building sandcastle on a playground, which all kids do, drawing, which was a school activity, and sports, which Panda never did herself.

But as a result, we have Chisa mourning someone and Kathrina singing at the bottom of the sea as the first game songs of Sirius 👌👍
