There's a kid in my neighborhood who is always running. Yesterday I saw him stop, pull out a tiny bound notebook, open to the center and quickly scan the contents with a look of deep contemplation. He tapped the page with the back of his hand, said "Yes. Become stronger," and broke back into a run

The shutdown is about healthcare because Republicans cut healthcare and gave Democrats an opening to talk about healthcare. But telling that story requires assigning agency to Republicans for their own decisions, which violates Murc’s Law.

Wir haben Geschichte geschrieben! Eine Mehrheit der Hamburger:innen hat beim Volksentscheid für ein neues Klimagesetz gestimmt. Während die Bundesregierung in Sachen Klima den Rückwärtsgang einlegt, geht #Hamburg nach vorne. Demokratisch und gerecht.

Hoffnung bleibt Handarbeit.

Ja, das ist der Klimawandel.
Und ich hoffe, dass diese Verwüstung ihrer Lieblingsinseln wenigstens dazu führt, dass selbst die konservativsten Skeptiker nachhaltig erzeugter Energie einsehen, dass wir auch in Deutschland aufhören müssen, CO2 in die Luft zu blasen.

Die AfD ist eine Art faschistischer Glaubensgemeinschaft. Man kann sie politisch nicht stellen und ihr mit Sachargumenten nicht beikommen. Das muss verstanden werden. Man kann sie nur bekämpfen und muss sie verbieten. Ihr hinterherzurennen, wie Union und SPD das gerade tun, macht sie nur stärker.

Die Entscheidung, für welche Art von Tätigkeit man Geld bekommt (Lohnarbeit) und für welche nicht (Carearbeit, Ehrenamt etc.) ist übrigens auch eine gesellschaftliche.
