Frankly it should be illegal to attempt to pass any legislation that is a clear harm to many while benefiting only the few. This is not the people’s business being conducted, it’s blatant theft aided by its signatories in its corruption.

As some celebrate the 4th, remember that our nation began as a colony, built by enslaved peoples on stolen land, it came into being by Revolution fought in opposition to tyrannical taxes; thereby a new country was established explicitly as a state not beholden to a king or any one religion.
