There is an extraordinary sense of entitlement behind the belief that there ought to be political party that aligns 100% with your own opinions.

"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.

"No ceiling" is how you end up with billionaire vampires running a country.
No value, no villain, no vision. Sounds like the tagline for the earnings call of a collapsing appliance retailer

The reason the top 10% of income earners pay more than half of all tax revenue is NOT because they are taxed more than ever.

Their tax rate has been cut FIVE times in the last 25 years.

They are paying more because their INCOME has increased astronomically, where the income of the bottom half has

The only reason to have the military in D.C. is to increase tensions and antagonize people to the point they over-react, creating "justification" for increasing crackdowns on innocent people. It's all a con.

Immigrants commit fewer crimes.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

A reminder that the current SECDEF caught the eye of the president by championing the pardoning of American war criminals — men whose own units testified against them, and who were convicted by military juries

He should never have been nominated for, let alone confirmed in, this job

Yes, right @kevinmkruse.bsky.social but why stop there? We know Hegseth will not resign over this. But any Member of Congress can introduce articles of impeachment against Hegseth + Trump and force a House floor vote, placing all Members on record re this High Crime + war crime. @fsfp.bsky.social 1/
Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

This is patently true and extremely dangerous.
Moving millions of people based solely on traits they were born with is 1) Impossible and 2) So expensive that it really quickly turns into “we should just kill them.”

And I’m not being hyperbolic. That’s literally what happens Every. Single. Time.

Imagine if all the hundreds of billions of dollars being pumped into AI was given instead to artists, writers, musicians. If/when the AI bubble bursts, everything will get crappier, but you give that money to artists: no bubble, just a world more humane and human in a million little ways.

Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.

If we must think of it, can we please call it "Lizza-Nuzzi"? Sounds more like a cute furry Dr. Seuss character that way.
Showed this to my wife as we arrived at her parents’ house.

“I don’t know what this means,” she said.

I’m so jealous I could weep
Do I try to explain the Nuzzi-Lizza situation to my in-laws at Thanksgiving dinner or do I just pass the stuffing and keep screaming in my own brain hmmmmmmm

Assholism runs in the family.
Karoline Leavitt's brother says his only concern is for his son. The mother of his child can rot in hell.

I bet he wears a big shiny cross around his neck too.
"A woman with a family connection to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Revere, Massachusetts."

He lives in a snow-globe bubble of intense flattery and manipulation.
At this point, I wonder if he isn't lying when he says he has "my highest Poll Numbers, ever" since it's entirely possible that's what his aides are telling him. It's quite likely that there's an entire Potemkin village built around Trump right now.

So, take away Venezuelan asylum seekers' protected status while claiming their home government is a dangerous drug-cartel run terrorist organization. Sure, that makes sense.

Send them back to a country you desperately want to attack militarily. Yeah, that tracks.
