It's incredible to live in a country in which the government makes this decision, acknowledges it has this terrible impact on vulnerable people, and just shrugs if off
Home Office Ministers state publicly, on the record, that they are deliberately making life worse for older people and people with disabilities who depend on care services, but it's worth it because it reduces net migration.

Bombs on train tracks. Arson attacks on malls. Poisoned water supplies. These are just some of the recently foiled plots in Russia’s growing campaign of aggression across Europe. What was once a mere nuisance has escalated into a serious threat.

Little Britain in a nutshell
Welcome to Britain, a country so short of dentists that an MP's 87-year-old mum pulled her teeth out with pliers. Also a country with thousands of foreign-qualified dentists who can’t work until they pass an exam so oversubscribed it’s like trying to book Glasto tickets. www.ft.com/content/f4e5...

Not long ago, this would have been an earth-shattering scandal. That it is coming to this shows how much Trump has polluted our public sphere.

Well said. Crimes against humanity are always preceded by words
Ilhan Omar: "It's completely disgusting. These are Americans that he is calling garbage ... it's also really important for us to remember that this kind of hateful rhetoric and this level of dehumanizing can lead to dangerous actions by people who listen to the president."

Elon should understand that this our continent and we have our rules here. If Musk feels like he does not want to abide by these rules with his platform, he might as well pull Twitter from the EU market. Personally I do not think that the EU would suffer that much from it.

Not surprising but very telling
As far as I can see, this nat sec strategy is far harsher on Europe than on Russia. There is no mention of a threat from Russia or of deterrence, only that "re-establishing strategic stability" is a priority. Europe is cast as a major threat to freedom. A radical, dangerous document.
