No kid would choose it if they had truly loving parents and a supportive community. No kid who is sure they’re gay wants it beaten out of them, “medically” or otherwise.

It’s emotional torture, and those who practice it are hacks.

Also, who announces an “undercover” operation? You’ve either just tipped your targets or admitted you’re just trying to intimidate them. “We’ve had an uptick in interest in joining our ranks from folks you’d think wouldn’t support us…must be a coincidence, right?”

Why not: “AG Bondi, you are not here to ask questions. You are here to answer questions. Throw away your list of critiques of the panel’s Dem members and simply answer our questions. That’s the only reason you’re here. Fail to do so, and you’ll be held in contempt.

So-called "civil discourse" requires respect for the other person's place in society, as an equal citizen. Once you suggest anyone is somehow "less than you" because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, etc., it's YOU who has introduced incivility into the conversation.
