I live in Odesa, Ukraine—where resilience meets beauty. I write poetry to capture the heart of life, even in chaos.
The Witkoff deal is Dead On Arrival.

Why are Russians climbing into a truck full of drones? Something is smoking and burning, I'll go closer or even look inside. What could possibly go wrong?

Mountains kiss the sea,
Corsica’s soul intertwined—
Nature’s masterpiece.

Day 12:

Ocean’s fierce whisper,
Winds howl, rain lashes the deep,
Waves rise, then vanish.

Day 4:

Cigar tendrils dance,
Strong and sweet in the evening air,
Wine’s kiss warms the soul.

Day 3:

Key in hand I roam -
Ghost room whispers through long halls,
Lost in numbered dreams.

Day 2:

Seared scent rises high,
Tender bite, rich velvet taste,
Oak whispers through smoke.

Day 1:

River wind whispers,
Ferry cuts the dawn-lit waves,
Dreams flow with the stream.

"Our commanders, when we surrendered, started finishing us off right away - using 'birds', mortars, shelling us to make sure we didn’t survive," – another captured Russian soldier describes how he was recruited and how many from his unit are left.

Why have you betrayed us, United States? We fight for freedom, yet your promised support has vanished when we needed it most. Isn’t it your principle to stand with those who uphold liberty? The Ukrainian people deserve to know!

My piece for TIME:

"Ukraine has options. Europe is still in the game.

Ideas on how to mitigate the damage from Trump’s siding with Putin are boiling. As long as we, the people, want to keep our country we love, there is always a way forward."

Never, Never Underestimate Ukraine

”Trump and Vance have announced that they are on Russia's side in the Russian-Ukrainian war…. Trump and Vance are now personally responsible for this policy. This is not the position of the majority of Americans, belonging to any political party or none of them." john Bolton
I can't stand bullies. President Zelensky is now trying to stand up against two of them. We should have his back. #SlavaUkraïni

Whatever happens with German elections today, I thank Olaf for all he has done to help me to stay in this war for this long.

His escalation management delays & drip feeding made the difference.

If Trump wants to see elections in Ukraine, all he has to do is use the power he keeps talking about to get the Russian invaders off Ukrainian soil. Then martial law in Ukraine ends, and elections will follow.

Grandpa Winston would have been chasing them all in the streets of Munich right now, a broken chair leg in one hand, a cigar clenched between his teeth, cursing furiously under his breath.

“How to be a Ukrainian,” rule # 23848:

- Waking up to the buzz of Shahed engines over one’s town and saying “Fuck it” to oneself and getting back to snoring. Then not waking up at all to a distant blast that makes one’s windows rattle.

In the heart of war, where shadows lie,
Love endures though many cry.
Pain cuts deep, the scars won’t fade,
Yet healing blooms in hope’s cascade.

Peace is fragile, a fleeting dream,
Born of struggle, a distant gleam.
Through love and loss, we strive once more,
To mend the wounds that war has torn.

Don’t think we’re waiting for the end of the war to keep living and growing! This hotel in Arcadia (Odesa) built since March 2024 will be ready to open for the summer tourist season. Yes, the tourists do come despite the war!
