Republicans failure to hold Trump to account makes them no different than the Chinese Communist party,Putin’s United Russia Party, Mussolini’s fascists & Hitler’s Nazis. The party comes first. Not the people, not the nation, not democracy, not anything. My latest:

The question isn’t whether Democrats should or will impeach Trump. The question is why won’t Republicans?
Since Trump came down that infamous escalator, Republicans have missed every off ramp on the highway to fascism. They will protect Trump to hold on to power no matter the cost to Americans.

Same BS when he was in Chgo. He and his cosplay thugs aren’t welcome anywhere.
Bovino: "Something else here as far as what happened in that Target store is truly I felt sorry for the public, and the reason for that is by and large 90% of the public are happy to see us. They like to engage with us, talk with us and find out about our missions."

I don’t see how this country survives until 2029 unless Trump is impeached and removed. This level of lawless malice is not sustainable. What fresh horrors await us this week?

It's no longer left versus right or even Democrat versus Republican.

It’s now democracy versus oligarchy. Freedom versus dictatorship. Right versus wrong.

People are awakening to this new reality — and they're speaking up.

The sleeping giant of America is roaring.

Jill's right: it's time to embrace impeachment...embrace it with both hands!
We just had a week that changed everything, including my view of impeachment. Before: Wait until 2027. Now: Embrace it in 2026 and hold hearing-like forums to spotlight the many articles of impeachment filed against Trump and his cabinet. My latest @thebulwark.com www.thebulwark.com/p/embracing-...
Embracing Impeachment
The case against Trump and his cabinet keeps growing—and the argument for waiting is no longer convincing.

My Stop the Presses newsletter calls for more aggressive action by the media to be "radically truthful" and defeat the liars:
/ Correct *every* lie uttered on your platform.
/ Put Trump's remarks on tape delay for proper fact checks.
/ Cut off liars in mid-interview and ban them from your airwaves.
How to build a radically truthful news outlet
The old ways don’t work. Time to declare war on the liars.

You cannot:

-Attack Fed independence
-Flirt w/ debasing the dollar
-Muse abt debt default
-Halt fin’l regs
-Destroy the rule of law
-Further juice a bubble
-Widen the deficit & jack up nat’l debt

Without causing a major financial crash.

Not predicting when but this is unsustainable.

With Trump going full authoritarian on Venezuela-Greenland, ICE, and the Fed, the response has to be serious. Four Republican senators (Tillis, McConnell, Murkowski, Collins?) could announce they’ll caucus for now with the Dems to give them control of the Senate to check Trump.

Rep. Casten has it absolutely correct: Trump is *both* weaker *and* more dangerous than ever.

Buckle up, but don't be afraid. Because fear is how he wins.
Let's be clear. Donald Trump will indict the Fed Chair, kidnap foreign leaders and kill American citizens in MN if it distracts you from asking WTF is in the Epstein files because HIS BASE doesn't like pedophiles. None of this is normal. But everything he does is from weakness right now.

I disagree with the suggestion in the NYT story today that rule of law is not working to stop Trump

Yes the "Trump judges" have been disproportionately bad, but the overall win rate of over 60% or >320 wins is still EXTRAORDINARY

And the wins in the most important areas have been even bigger👇

Feds backed up a tiny bit. More media arriving. Someone starts a chant of "they're our neighbors, you're invaders!"

Asked rec center staff how many kids they have inside right now. He told us "a decent number" and they're closing up soon, have locked the front doors.

Outside the Whipple building in Minneapolis—

Feds just emerged and unleashed pepper spray on demonstrators for approaching the driveway, sprayed one man directly in the face repeatedly. Pepper balls.

Air is toxic, there were children out here in strollers. Reporters caught unprepared.

Will explains what we all see so clearly now. So where is the GOP when it matters?

Complicit.
In a week when a century happened, from VZ to MN, the biggest story was Trump's vow that nothing can stop him but 'my own morality' and 'my own mind'

But a dictatorship that relies on brute force, alternate truth can be stopped. By our morality. My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/trum...
Trump now a tyrant restrained only by ‘my own morality.’ We stop him with our own. | Will Bunch
After a monumental week that changed America, Trump believes there is no limit on his powers. We can prove him wrong.
