Whenever we slept over at my grandparents' house, my cousins and I would make fun of my grandma for vacuuming the house at 6am.

Now, in my 50s, I understand that 1) menopausal women live on their own time. We live outside of time. 2) We have to get shit done and we don't care.

Despite what some, including at DHS, are claiming, this video isn’t from a year ago in Chicago. It was Friday in Hoffman Estates, in my district, a street I’ve walked myself. It appears to show a child being violently detained by ICE. It’s real, and I’m demanding accountability.

There used to be a klan cross in a field on the outskirts of my hometown.

Every time I visited, I'd check to see it still standing.

I was back this weekend ... & it's finally gone.

However - in its place is an enormous US flag billboard. Right where the cross once stood.
