MAGA doesn't want more people voting. They want fewer people voting. That's what voter suppression is all about. Making voting day a holiday would encourage more people to vote, and they know it. that's why it will never happen.
I love this idea. But sadly, republicans don’t.
Just a thought: How about we nix Presidents’ Day and make Election Day a national holiday instead?

They are far enough gone to actually try that. Our PM needs to have a raft of retaliatory measures ready. Slap mammoth export taxes on oil, electricity and gas flowing south (or shut off completely), start unloading u.s. bobds etc. Etc

Stakes are high, but so are the moral obligation Canada has towards CUBA. Fear of what Americans might do, should not be a deterrent to doing the right (Canadian) thing.
The dilemma as I see it is if we send a Canadian-flagged supply ship to Cuba, we have to decide if arming it against "piracy" is worth the risk of inducing an article 5 nato inducing strike on it. Seizing any Canadian-flagged vessel would raise that scenario, armed defense or not, no?
