We could disband all of the political parties tomorrow and pretty shortly after, even declarations of "no political parties", ypu would still have factions forming and eventually political parties. Floor crossing is just a part of that and the system. It can evoke strong feelings but it's the system

I don't care about floor crossing as much as others people do, mainly because thats just how the system works when it has people. Like, generlaly pwople do shit. Political parties are also not necessary for our system to run per se, it's just an effective organizing method.

I understand all the arguments against floor-crossing and am familiar with all the research on how voters think about their votes and I do think there's some risk that a government could appear cynical in gaining a majority via floor-crossing.

People often comment how people were laughing about the human trafficking and sexual vioelnce in the Epstein files (mainly people invovled in the Epstein files), as if people don't laugh about sexual vioelnce survivors or IPV survivors regularly. The culture isn't that great at supporting survivors.
