I cannot stress this enough: do not use email for organizing. Set strict retention so emails delete after a short period of time. Assume every Big Tech company will rat you out to the gestapo without lifting a finger to protect your rights theintercept.com/2025/09/16/g...

So grateful that Simon Copland wrote this excellent takedown. I thought I needed to write one, so was slogging my way through its arrogant, narrow-minded and turgid prose. Enough now. Abundant, one might say.
Abundance gets it wrong - Green Agenda
Simon Copland reviews Klein and Thompson’s Abundance. The book sounds progressive but delivers repackaged trickle-down economics, blaming NIMBYs while ignoring corporate power and capitalist inequalit...

In other words, we did not have democracy before, though there were some steps in the right direction. Only a real democracy, a genuine people's movement built on community power and the dismantling of capitalism, can reverse what's happened.

Why do they have these misconceptions? Because they live in a society where violence is the air we breathe, we feed it our boys from birth. Our entire economy is structured around accumulation, exploitation, and neglect.

Trump is a symptom of a society built on patriarchy, racism, and domination. His hundreds of millions of supporters around the world look to him because they mistake cruelty for leadership, suffering for order, and indifference for self-discipline.

If we want to get rid of Trump once and for all, we're going to have to reckon with the fact that our entire society supports bullies and encourages abuse. The democracy that comes out of this will not be the "democracy" that went into it.

The thing the mainstream media is not remembering about Hurricane Katrina is their own lethal, racist contribution to treating rumors as facts used to demonize the stranded in New Orleans, turning them from victims to be aided to enemies to be contained.

“This, without a doubt, is neoliberalism’s
single most damaging legacy: the
realization of its bleak vision has
isolated us enough from one another
that it became possible to convince
us that we are not just incapable of
self-preservation but fundamentally
not worth saving.”
