so desperate for more people to take informed stances instead of basing their views on discomfort. how many movies and books are about how basing our behaviour on instinctive fear of difference is bad do there have to be before the message sinks in.

and as the world’s politics get more outrageous every day, i’m trying to look forward to little things like clubbing on the halloweekend but it feels like the world is ending. if i worry about it, i can’t cope, and if i don’t and i take things one day at a time it’s easier but i feel foolish for it.

ohh fellas i’m having the Worst week ever. enjoying all manners of escapism :-) but also haunted by the amount of people who just don’t understand the concept of harm and consent. they don’t know what “normalising” or “pedophilia” mean yet they throw those words around like snow in a blizzard.

i kinda love partially losing my ofmd hyperfixation because now i’m sooo much less emotionally volatile about disagreeing with takes or dynamics. it’s kinda relaxing. i can almost enjoy the art and fic BETTER now im less emotionally invested. downside: hard to finish my wips.
