WIP wmonday. i swear i am going to actually finish this one probably
Izzy is about to fall into an undoubtedly fitful sleep when he hears a tapping on his door and snaps awake. He sits up, wondering if he imagined the sound for a moment before it happens again. He climbs out of bed, nostrils flaring as he inhales deeply. Just as he detects the presence of his mate, a harsh, muffled whisper comes through the door. "Izzy." Even if he couldn't detect something off in his scent, the sound of Ed's voice would've clued Izzy in immediately. He swings his door open as quickly as he can, and then Ed is in his arms, shaky and coated in distress, curling in on himself to try and be smaller. Omega. "Edward," Izzy murmurs, quickly tucking him in close and shutting the door behind him. "What..." What little of Ed's skin that's bare presses against Izzy's unclothed chest, and he feels almost burning hot to the touch. Izzy breathes him in, half-consciously searching his scent for blood, sickness, another alpha, anything that might have left him so suddenly distressed. Ed whines, butting his head against Izzy's and slipping a thigh between his legs, just as Izzy processes the enticing, sweet, familiar scent pouring off of Edward. Fucking Christ, he smells like heat. How? Izzy had been around Edward all day and hadn't caught a whiff of it. Ed's never been able to hide it before. "Iz," Ed pleads. "I need—can you—" Izzy scents Ed, his mind taking a moment to catch up with his body. "Yeah," he chokes out, gripping Ed's hips. Ed sighs in relief, still squirming against Izzy. He's still in his fucking leathers, but Izzy can feel the heat of his cunt through them. "Jesus, this came on fast," Izzy says, his own biology hurrying to catch up. He's already achingly hard, and it's taking more and more effort to think through the haze of instinct and need. Ed whines, something accusatory in his tone. Izzy snorts softly. "What, it's my fault?" He expects a snarky reply or joking agreement, but instead Ed stills, tensing up again. His scent changes, suddenly sharp with distress as though he's been wounded. Izzy's heart races. "Eddie?" "Dunno," Ed says, voice quiet. "Came on after you left the cabin upset." He sniffs. "Fuck," Izzy realizes after a moment, tugging Ed impossibly closer. He's heard stories of omegas going into heat when their bond feels threatened, either to revitalize their bond with their mate or entice a new mate, though he never put much stake in the idea. "It's alright," he whispers. "My treasure. I'm sorry. I've got what you need." "Fuck you," Ed whines, pressing closer to Izzy nonetheless, his tense muscles relaxing. Izzy chuckles softly. "Fuck me?" Edward shakes his head. "Fuck me," he corrects, grinding his hips forward. "Fucking, with haste, if you don't fuckin' mind."
