We had to say good-bye to Rita today 😥

We are glad she got more time after her surgery in December, but her health started deteriorating rapidly again in April. We gave her the best quality of life for as long as we could.

Rita is no longer in pain.

Give a hug your furry friends from me today 🙏

Chilling with Rita by the park. 🥰

Lots of baby ducklings around!
We see the back of a small fluffy dog laying on someone’s lap, the person is wearing blue jeans. In the back there is a pond, we see beautiful green trees and grass on the other side of the pond. It’s a sunny day with a blue sky.

Today I turn 45... 🎉

Yikes. o__O Where did time go? Sheeesh.... How?

Also yay, for sure, it's good to keep having birthdays 😅

I did a “snarky” quote post and decided to delete it.

I’m proud of myself! It added zero value to the conversation, wasn’t even funny. What was I trying to accomplish?

Anyway.

Hope you are all having a good Friday Night!

I started working on Dark Age Asunder when I got laid off twice within a month in late 2023. Since then, more people joined the team and we made a fun game! Today, it's finally launched!

It’s been a while since I shared a 🥞 pic with you all.

These turned out great! Really really tasty. I substituted half the milk with Kefir and it’s a winner strategy! ^__^

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Been more quiet lately, life got hectic but all good. We keep on keeping on.

This is a great video! The concepts apply to any engine, not only Unity.

When we do a tutorial we often just: do a tutorial. We don't learn much, and we don't know how to take whatever we learnt to our own #gamedev projects. This is why.

Learn very foundational concepts and build from there :)

Oh hi reactive stuff and "living world" things and thoughtful little touches are some of my favourite parts of games!!!

Here is a thread nobody asked for of several I love

(I do not have visuals for them all sorry 😂)

I absolutely LOVE IT when games do this reactive shit.

I'm in the "learning panel lining techniques" of my new Gundam kit building addiction. Love it :-)

We finished our game last night... IT WAS A BLAST... (there were many actual in-game blasts).

It was a super fun run. We met in-person every other week for a few months, and I will miss this crew. Our GM is moving to another city but we managed to tie most lose ends in a glorious last session :)

Best score ever. We did well. My goodness I am a huge geek and I love it, Friday night playing Blades in the Dark with new friends? 🔥

It really is a brilliant system.

Finished one more!

This is the last of the HG I got, time to do an MG now! 🔥

I’m officially into Gunpla :) I didn’t even know a word like “Gunpla” existed until recently. Hah. Love it.

I’ve been to one of those near Vancouver a couple of years ago and it was A LOT of fun ^__^

Hope it turns out amazing

Of course! ^__^ I already had pdfs but the roll20 stuff is great value and also love supporting solid projects like this 🙏

game designers don't need semicolons like programmers
we don't need periods like writers
we don't even need exclamation points like producers
we (often) need parentheses (you can ignore them, on first read) to explain non-linear connections (at least to ourselves)
like everyone, we need editing most
