We are at a point where the vice-President can claim that one of the most widely used and tested medications is "useless" because disregard for science is seen as a virtue.
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

If Epstein’s claims are true, Trump lied about his involvement & knew about the abuse

Bondi & Blanche, Trump’s former personal lawyers in DOJ, ignored their duties to the Constitution & victims

This is corruption, plain & simple

Why don’t they just travel on America’s rail network since they keep voting against expanding it
There’s real irony in this: lawmakers can’t get back to DC to vote to reopen the government because flights are canceled, thanks to the same shutdown they caused.

I'd question your reading comprehension and translation, in that order...

These guys...

Andreesen said in an interview I heard that there's been "no new information in the Classics since the 1850s" and the amount of stupidity in that is wild. Just wild.

It’s insane to treat the filibuster as the most sacrosanct.

Article 1 power of the purse, oversight, and war? Nah.

Emoluments clauses? Bribery prohibition? Meh.

Criminal law? 14A? Doesn’t count.

But maybe the Senate changes a rule it has multiple times before? Gasp! Not that. Anything but that.

A leader would not have lost eight colleagues tonight. This happened because you let it happen or because you’ve totally lost control of the caucus in one of the most important moments since you’ve been Democratic leader. Either way, it’s on you. You need to step down. We need someone who can lead.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Seriously these folks keep winning because regardless of what you think their constituents are fine with them. Unless you can facilitate that changing then you're just gonna be complaining about the same folks for the 10 or 20 more years.

Ultimately I think one good thing to come out of this is for more of the elected Dems to be willing to call some of their colleagues bitches. If you want these folks replaced then you have to rally sentiment for it among the people who are not extremely online. Otherwise they'll keep winning

We need new leaders in the Senate.

It’s a thing, whether you like it or not . Not in the primaries though. That’s when you vote for the person you want to win because they are a good candidate for civil service and have policy ideas that make sense. If that candidate doesn’t win, then you get to vote for a lesser evil.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country

So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and there’s no reason Trump isn’t getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
