He is a really loyal person, too. He's very protective and adoring of his adoptive family and cares about their opinion of him. He cares about his friends, too, but shows it by pestering and harassing them into doing random shit with him. This often turns into late-night nonsense around the city.

He is a huge food lover: Rowan loves to eat and learned to cook for the express reason of being able to make himself good food. He snacks most of the time, and tends to be caught sleeping at weird hours and in weird places. He likes to steal (harmlessly) and has a strong habit of lying.

He's pretty flighty: he runs around to bother anyone he wants, most of the time. This tends to lend itself to him leaving home for weeks at a time to spend time with his friends and then reappear at home whenever he so chooses.

Rowan has been kind of aging with me over time, so he started as a 15-year-old (mostly) and has just sort of rapidly aged up over time. He is associated with clovers, rats and ferrets, and the sky! I associate him with freedom and flight!

OC-tober Day 04: Rowan Malcalester 🍀🕰️

One of my other favorites: my little rat! Rowan is the adopted prince of a kingdom who has an insane amount of freewill and ability to do... sort of whatever he wants.
(he is mostly a harmless menace to the people around him.)

Unfortunately, every good situation she manages to find herself in, she always has to deal with the other side of the coin... the angelic good luck she gets periodically always leads to some sort of loss, which always makes her wonder if the good thing she got in exchange was even worth it.

She moved out of her family's house at 20 and... struggles, a little, to keep herself afloat-- but she doesn't think she would be able to go back to living at home.

Mari wants to do good by other people. She really does try her best!

She's the oldest of three daughters in a fairly religious household. Being raised Catholic can do some things to you, especially when you end up deeply questioning the ideals that you were being raised with and needing to grapple with them.

Mari is very sweet! She is a girls' girl to the core, very enthusiastic about complimenting and uplifting other women. She... definitely says some very gay things to the girls around her. This will cause her psychic damage later.

He's fairly self-destructive in a way that he refuses to admit to himself, and tries to immerse himself in day to day pleasures to keep his mind of off it: namely good food, booze, and sex.

Getting out of the house for community soccer helps, too.

Ruoxuan remembers flashes of his previous lives, and knows enough that he can harass his soulmate mostly for the hell of it-- but their ever-growing list of clashing ideas and opinions about the ouroboros they're stuck in leads to a lot of fighting about it.

He is slightly estranged from his family due to some of his own shame, but gets along well with his older brother who sympathizes with him and his reasons for sort of running away from his problems.

He loves them, believe me! He just doesn't like facing them after what he calls his "blow-up."

Ruoxuan is the second son in a Chinese-American family. He dropped out of medical school due to a nasty dip in mental health and is currently going through trade school to become an electrician! He's fairly active, incredibly friend, and spends a lot of time out at parties when he isn't working.
