every time I have to take a diazepam while fighting Sniper Wolf, my brain goes right to Utada Hikaru's BAD MODE and uh oh now I'm groovin too hard to take the shot...!

this is especially true for my particular flavor of ADHD, where a certain amount of workflow friction can grind my brain to a screeching halt. it's worth putting in the work to prevent those moments, even if it's annoying.

there's an extent to which that kind of flexibility can be useful! sometimes I just need to buckle down and get something done, workflow issues be damned. but there's a cost to letting things slide, and it gets heavier the more you do it.

trying to become the kind of person who fixes workflow snags immediately in the moment, as opposed to the kind of person I currently am, a person who tends to put up with workflow snags because the thought of fixing it seems more inconvenient than just pressing on
