The dividing line between “working class” and “elite” seems to be education. Contractor with a high school diploma, two houses, fleet of F-150s and a boat? Working class. Barista with a BA who rides the bus? Elite.
Hell, if it was just that it would still be bad, but at least there’d be a certain consistency to it, but a lot of these people think a general contractor making six figures and driving an extremely expensive truck is working class
