for those of you that have somehow made it this long without ever calling: you literally just have to list the bills. you don't have to give a reason. if you get a person, they won't ask you why. if you get a voicemail, just say your address at the beginning. it took me less than 5 minutes to call 3

personally i go to 5calls because they make it really easy to see your reps' numbers, and yeah if you go to voicemail you can literally just say 'i'm a constituent at X and i'm going to list off a bunch of bills i want [rep] to oppose' and then you list it. you can do that if you get a person too

Raphael Lemkin, the man who coined the term genocide, originally included settler colonialism in his definition of the crime of genocide (as well as cultural genocide) but it was dropped by the UN members voting on the article. Lemkin himself and the field he created still include them.
At the heart of this thing is that people are equating "genocide" with their view of Israel as settler-colonialist.
Israel is genocidal, they say, *because* Israel is settler-colonialist. It's the same logic that makes the United States "genocidal" for our treatment of Native Americans.
