Does anyone else day dream fan-fic? Just drop one of your favorite characters into a TV show or movie and watch them take off on their own story line? Or am I just weird?

My body woke me up at 5 am for writing time. It's been a while since it did that!

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.
Also, quality of audio books vary A LOT. The first few I tried were not my speed so I shopped around. Who preforms it makes a big difference. I also tend not to listen to books I've read before because I've already decided what voices should sound like.
Maybe, everyone is a bit different, but experimentation is the best way. I started with weeding and listening because it is repetitive and takes a while. When I got used to it there, I could listen other places. But there are still days where my brain doesn't want to engage, so I don't make it.
Am I allowed to vote "Finding time"?
I listen when there is not much else to do but get into it. Driving, weeding, cleaning the house, going for a run or walk ... stuff that puts you in a "zone" I guess?
Lol, I've never been able to keep to a short story either!

Or a single book ... why write 1 when it could be 5?
Good Luck. Thesis submission is a big step.

Happy Caturday, #5amwritersclub! I write surrounded by cats. They help the words come. Meow! 😻
No debtors prison in my book … you are just sold as a slave to cover the cost of your debts.
I’m getting a paucity of information from my searches on how long a synopsis should be. Should it be 1000 words? 500 words? One of each to cater to agents preferences?

Help me out here!!!!!!

Well, ideally, you have a will as soon as you have any assets/dependents.
