lol okay yeah, but if someone like myself wants to get my books in the right hands, then I need to set up readers expectations by using the proper terms for my work correctly. Luke yeah LABELS SUCK and they have shortfalls, but they help with getting books in hands

when listing to the genre(s) of a work, the final term takes precedent over the preceding, so a Gothic horror is primarily a horror, a romantic tragedy is primarily a tragedy, etc.

Yes, there are classic Romantic works of the Romantic era like Frankenstein, much like a Romance used to refer to just a story centuries ago. But in TODAY's publishing market, the genre of romance has very specific requirements much like other works of genre fiction.
