Time to post this rather incredible photo again.

The largest volcano in the Solar System, Olympus Mons, with one of the Solar System's smallest moons, Phobos, crossing it.

Photographed from Mars orbit.

Looking for simple to use, customisable axes or graph paper?

I've made a couple of tools for this.

Designed to be printed or pasted into PowerPoints etc.
The snipping tool (win+shift+s) is your friend.

What an amazing movie!

You are seeing the surface of the Sun through the "eyes" of the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST), which produced the highest resolution observations ever made.

This movie, dating back to 2019, covers an area 19,000 x 10,700 km.

I love telling the beans story. Get a better reaction sometimes than the Hipassus myth. #MathsTeaching
This is the best week because with TWO different classes, I'm starting my very favourite topic - PYTHAGORAS! #TheManTheMythTheLegend #Beans

These unit sheets are so versatile. I’ve done them with the Edexcel SoW. Set them as a cover lesson with the guiding video, use them in class as a lesson or set them as homework. Perfect for KS4. www.hannahkettlemaths.co.uk/cover

Open up this picture fully.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.
