The party of hate, destruction, and death doesn't care about anyone's parents in nursing homes. Their seniors are all safe in their home with concierge medical care, nursing staff, and servants 24/7.

Last time I checked all America is a bonafide member of the anti fascist club. We lost 400,000 Americans being anti fascist in WWII. That was also the last time the Department of Defense was called the Department of War. Yes, anti fascism is something worth having a war for.

I'm reading (okay listening to the audio book) Orwell's "1984" for the second time in my life, it's been a few decades. The party has a daily "two minutes hate" and annual "hate week". MAGA has topped that with perpetual Deep Hate, and the church is very much complicit in it.

So technically possible, but practically it is practically impossible. We need something like the State Proposition mechanism (for those that have one) with a simple popular vote to pass. But it would take an amendment to make that happen too so yeah, not gonna happen.

It doesn't help if amendments are just ignored and the executive branch is designating orgs seeking to litigate for We The People as terrorists. Plus to get an amendment you first have to get it proposed by Congress which they show no interest in, and then ratified by gerrymandered State houses.

A recurring problem is even when there are regulations enforcement is down to committees and the DOJ who are both influenced by partisan interests to the point where they refuse to act. We need an independent people's branch outside of the voting cycle which can FORCE committee and DOJ action.

Can be, but historically they have completely failed to do the things we want them to do - getting money out of politics including dark money, big money, revolving doors to lobbying, banning insider trading by members of Congress (and other branches).

The fact that the Grinder message leaker hasn't been sued for libel yet is telling. I think Johnson knows that suing would allow discovery and that would reveal the voracity of the claims.

The only reason Trump wanted the Nobel Peace Prize is that President Obama won it, and 3 other US Presidents, all Democrats: Carter, Roosevelt, and Wilson.

Never mind I'm sure he's in top running for the Ig Noble Peace Prize along with Benjamin Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin!

When you're angling for a Nobel PEACE Prize it is never a good look to take glee in renaming your national defense department to the Department of WAR. The last time it was called that? When we lost 400,000 American lives fighting against fascism. Now we promote fascism and authoritarianism.

As a self described "stable genius" he's not just unqualified for the peace prize, he's uniquely unqualified for any Noble Prize.

If you want to win the Nobel PEACE Prize it's probably not a good idea to rename your country's defence department to the Department of WAR.

It's like expecting the prize for Literature if you encourage banning books, Medicine if you discourage vaccines and encourage bleach injections.

But that would require giving away money and kleptocrats don't give stuff away. He could find corporate sponsors to pay for it instead of using his money. Or knowing him he'd just take money from the government to pay for it or make it 100% pay to pay. Donate a few million, get a Trump Prize.

I'm shocked he hasn't launched an annual Trump Prize and given himself the Trump Peace Prize.

Trump brags about arresting "over 1,000 pedophiles" meanwhile can't be bothered to release the Epstein files and investigate and arrest all those associated with the biggest pedophile ring every exposed.

The reason? Too many are rich powerful men donating to Guardians Of Pedophiles.
