1/2 I see a lot of people on Bluesky getting indignant when stuff like this is described as a "distraction". They're missing the point. This entire administration is a show to keep people distracted and entertained while the super-rich loot the country and destroy its institutions...
One of the most striking things about these ICE/BP raids is not that they’re all kitted out for war while going after people who didn’t do anything wrong and don’t pose a threat, but that they always bring a camera crew.

The usual suspects in Ireland's online sports media going on about a cushy draw and "the path to the final". Ignoring:
Current form
Bad World Cup record against Argentina
Argentina's recent quality
The fact of never having reached a semi

Had some great original stuff in his day but seems to have run out of ideas several years ago and decided to be Bernard Manning. When you're no longer funny you can console yourself with the delusion that that people don't like you because you're too edgy for them. Saddo
This guy used to be one of my heroes and his stuff now is woeful. Who is this for? Constantly trying to present as a dangerous provocateur, a truth spitter, if you're offended GET OUT but here he is flogging vodka with a lie about someone being offended by dogs? A 6yo yelling "poo bum willy!"

It's beyond me how any public representative can let 24 hours pass without going on the record loudly denouncing this. If you tolerate this from your country's leader, you are by your silence endorsing it. Shame on you, America. Read some history - this is a dark road you're on

The 12-year-old's watching - and enjoying - Last Christmas, and asked me where Emma Thompson is from. I told her she's English. "Why's she talking like that?"
"Er, she's supposed to be Croatian."
"Hmm, that's a bit offensive."
Trilingual since kindergarten, so I reckon she's entitled to that take😁

Basically a larger version of post-Soviet collapse Russia
I wrote a piece recently about how Trump, Putin, Musk and the rest are actually fellow citizens of a borderless, lawless society designed to enrich themselves at the expense of everyone else. Politics and patriotism are just a cover.

Etzebeth's style of play makes him a player I've always wanted to like, but he so often makes it impossible. Apart from it being 73-0 with minutes left, when you have that size and power, why go for the coward's act of thuggery?

This year's build-up to the Arsenal Christmas Collapse™ is looking like an epic
Arsenal have allowed fewer shots on target (7) against them than any other team in the Champions League, the lowest Expected Goals Against (1.94) and are the only team yet to concede a goal in this season’s competition.

"If people don't continuously buy things they can't afford, it's bad for the health of the economy."

Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever before, and while it may be consumer smart, it comes at a cost to work productivity and the U.S. economy.
