I completely agree with this. As someone still in university, albeit now at a postgrad level, it's also a great way to get practice in researching and writing, which can never hurt.

Also some of my favourite things to learn, like the Woolworths name dare, came from an r/askhistorians question.
i cannot emphasize enough how much I think professional historians should monitor and post on r/AskHistorians

the questions are good and the discussions are serious and you reach a big audience
How modern a phenomenon are "cults"? There are a lot of problems with defining “Cults”, leading /u/Double_Show_9316 to dive into the complex world divergent beliefs, changing historical concepts and so much more!

This is the newly-cleaned Fountain of Trevi in Rome. There are now crowd security guards trying to keep down the total of the crowds to less than 400 people.
This is the Victory Column of Emperor Marcus Aurelius in Rome's Piazza Colonna. It was erected c.193 CE. Parts of it are intact and parts heavily eroded over the millennia. Here's an over view and some detail.
I was in Rome last week doing some intensive photography so I will share some of it here. This is the Carlo Maderno fountain dated to 1612-14.
