Hooray, the power’s back on. I’m not sleeping, I’m quickly putting everything to charge because everything ran out of battery during the whole day.

It's been a long time since Ben Bradlee was at the Post. I guess that's it. My old paper is completely gone.
It is a devastating evidence of the Trump regime that the US capital Washington no longer has any serious newspaper, leaving it far behind any other significant capital in the world.

Some thoughts:

1. The deadline for nominating a person or group for the Nobel Peace Prize is Feb. 1.

2. History professors are qualified nominators.

3. The people of Minnesota have been awe-inspiringly peaceful in the face of state violence.

4. He would be so mad.

NEW: This week, Daily Show host Jon Stewart introduced his audience to Jenin Younes, describing her as a courageous civil rights attorney who had been canceled by both the right and left and therefore “must be doing something right.”

Really, she spent years undermining public health—and Democrats.

I've read it. It's the most comprehensive work I've seen, very detailed.
This book doesn’t flatter anyone-it’s worth reading. What struck me is this: nobody here is really in charge, and that’s the trick. These ‘rulers’ don’t rule by courage or conviction, but by incentives and attention. They don’t demand loyalty; they reward performance. And people line up willingly.
I hired professional fact checkers for my book bc it tells the story of how Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger *lied about me.* Hired pros prev at The New Yorker. It was very expensive! My book also went through 6 rounds of legal review. So they haven’t sued me. Read it here:

Maybe someone could document all the shifts in the Washington Post in the last year.
We need to document how this ownership change shifts the content. Would love to see scientists studying and reporting on this as it happens, as well as everyday people documenting the changes in their feeds with TikTok diaries or something similar. I’ll assume we won’t have much if any API access.
