There. We said it.

Journalists, are you paying attention?
Ooof. People don't trust the news, according the Economist/YouGov poll.

Doesn't change by age, race, party affiliation, politics, or who you voted for in 2024.

On the 9th day of Giving Tuesday, EAPM gave another great reason to give.

Did you know there's many ways to donate — and they're all tax deductible? Individual donations, stock donations, DAF giving, employee donor programs, and more.

Public service announcement: words have meaning.

The autism community has largely defined autism as a neurodivergent identity. Autism/autistic has meaning.

Austism spectrum disorder is a diagnosis. This has parameters. ASD (F84.0) has meaning.

What do the movie "The Princess Bride" and the word "accessibility" have in common?

Journalists keep using that word. We do think it means what they think it means.

Ok, I just found a 1990 photo that reads as, “I just watched the movie Heathers, and I want to be Winona Ryder.” And I will post it if @equalaccesspublicmedia.org gets 50 donations today.

Ok, because this morning’s Bluesky is full of terrible things, I’m going to post embarrassing photos. My mom sent me all my childhood photos (I don’t know why) and here’s me at 20 and 24 months. With some serious hair.

We're still building. Please help us continue our work.
Here's the sad reality. @equalaccesspublicmedia.org just paid this month's freelance bill for @the-word.news. Without a miracle, without an angel donor, without something happening quickly, by the end of the December 15, we're out of money.

Help us keep publishing @the-word.news and the @eapmstyleguide.bsky.social. Help us bring accessibility to news outlets across the U.S. — and as a result, more news readers, listeners, and watchers. Every $5 and $10 donation adds up to keep us going.

Don't let us close down these vital projects!

We're really big in New York, Arkansas, and California. Which makes sense, when you think about it.
We were curious where our supporters came from, so we mapped it by state. Each pin represents a person or family in the U.S. who became a donor this year.

Add your pin.
