i've been doing tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and... dill (the dill and not garlic or scallions or whatever sounds weird to me, but a restaurant here does it and it somehow works great)

recently, i explained to my students how MOOCs were this THING THAT EVERYONE TALKED ABOUT FOR A YEAR (or so) and then they disappeared. they had never heard of them (including my mid-late 20's grad students). let's hope this fades as quick.

we get a one-year extension, no changes to tenure requirements ("would take too long to change"). so, still will be under trump :/ don't think it does much but stave off the inevitable.

Yep - I remember reading Nancy Moran's 1980 paper on plant defense for the first time in ~2013 and was absolutely mind blown. There have been a few others that have been as important to me since, but that was the first one that just blew me away completely.
