In a ranking of Star Wars films, Governor JB Pritzker listed The Rise of Skywalker as the worst one, so yes, he pretty much has my support if he runs for President.

The French Legionnaires involved in the assassination of Charlie Kirk? Candice Owens has receipts.

I dig it.
How about "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum"?

I saw It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World when it first opened. At the age of 7 I authoritatively told everyone it was the funniest film ever made. Now I wouldn't even put it in my top 500. But it's foundational to me. I will never not consider it magnificent.
It’s a terrible movie.
It was filmed in the Coachella Valley. My dad took us to see it and boy did he hate it.

That's reasonable. But don't waste your time looking for footage of Jimmy Durante being anywhere near as hilarious as Joe Besser playing Stinky on The Abbott and Costello Show because I'm telling you it doesn't exist.
I'll say this though - I think I'd rather watch Jimmy Durante in a movie than Joe Besser.

Yes, from what I've read and heard, everybody loved him. And I'm sure he was a sensationally entertaining live act.
Seems like he was probably a good hang behind the scenes, though.

I am perfectly fine with this response. I realize I was posting Jimmy Durante rage-bait and I'm ready to accept the consequences.
That is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I was like 15-17? It's a million hours long and I was dying.

IDK how it holds up to me now, but it was amazing.

And Jimmy Durante is a treasure. WTF is this moron on about?

I'm afraid you'll have to present the jury with more evidence than this.

Once again, yes, he was good in that, but the fact that he was basically playing a talking Harpo just emphasizes to me how not nearly as funny as Harpo he ever was.
How about in, “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” with Bette Davis, Monte Wooly, and Ann Sheridan?
November 25, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Durante was good in that. He's good in other stuff. But I've never seen Marx Bros/WC Fields/Laurel & Hardy-level hilarity from him, and his iconic status tends to make me think he should be that great on film. But maybe I'm asking too much?
I don’t know, his character in Mad Mad World was only in the film briefly, but had some chuckle-worthy moments.

Not long ago on the @tcmtv.bsky.social app I gave this movie a try. Was a bit taken aback by how much it sucks. Look, Jimmy Durante was beloved by every other performer of his era, so I find the idea that he was funny plausible. I've just never seen evidence of it in a movie.

The editors at The Atlantic opened their mouths to RFK Jr's harvest. He issued an on-the-record statement: "Drink from me, Love." And they did, offering him a rosary bead as a prop for his dreamy cover photo.

Guardrails are needed in journalism. So luckily, when a reckless reporter crosses the line and engages in all sorts of unethical practices, the system of checks and balances provides a former spouse, just as shitty at his job, to make things right.

answer is great but also it's telling that the guy who's been saying this since day 1 has to answer about whether he's an antisemite for 5 min every interview while the same people grin vacantly at the jewish space lasers lady and call her a brave warrior
WELKER: What is your message to Jewish New Yorkers who feel you won't be tough enough in your response to antisemitism?

MAMDANI: That I am looking forward to being the next mayor and fulfilling the commitment I've made to Jewish New Yorkers to not only protect them but to celebrate and cherish them

Lower the bar. Okay, lower it some more. Now further down, that's it, further, further, further. Is there still room to do a limbo dance? Then lower it ever lower, that's it, lower, lower, lower. There! Now you're ready to praise Majorie Taylor Greene.
