It's been a while, I overhauled my link.tree with categories to my web stuff, w/ my coding projects repo (Macintosh and F256K2). I also launched a merch threadless store, there's a brand t-shirt and that silly Ultima VII t-shirt I always wanted, haha.

black t-shirt with a front logo for 1bit fever dreams. It features Ace Harding, detective hero from the game Déjà Vu from ICOM simulations, a mac game from 1985, deep in thought and sharp shadows on his face. His thought cloud show the lobby from Dark Castle, a Silicon Beach Mac game from 1986. The round 1Bit logo is also center, and the words 'Fever Dreams' flank it. black t-shirt of the intro menu screen of the Origins game Ultima VII, the Black Gage. Under the blue and black lettering of 'Ultima VII', we see the regular 4 menu options that you get when starting up in this game.

Do you have the pdf, ebook, soft, or hardcover version? I’m thinking of getting the hardcover.

I’ve played a few and authored one. Text adventure game that is.

“I think that people who are still referring to all AI-generated content as AI slop are probably lazy luddites."

Okay. This “Lazy Luddite” will not accept an AI as “people”.

Aside from a boxed copy of @ericsedge.com's game, the only thing I bought at #VCFMW was this mouse cover mouse crocheted by a nice lady

She was excited to inform me that next year they will have little pink noses

Getting down to the wire for #vcfmw!

I’ve been frantically building boxes and printing, matte finishing, and cutting covers for the game and editor manuals tonight.

Next print labels and burn CDs whilst printing the manual contents.

Then bind the manuals and box everything up.

Eeek!
Covers for 50 game and 50 guide manuals. Boxen!

The current game has a simple text based database engine to define the locations, objects, NPCs, etc. I have a SQL engine I wrote that I’ll convert to using in future versions.

Not sure. Just started thinking about it.
I use HyperCard and HyperTalk as my development environment. I might use the HyperTalk interpreter to run script fragments for flexibility. It may make it too cumbersome. I’ll have to experiment a bit.

I love this discussion. I’m just wrapping up a text adventure game and thinking about my next venture. An interactive dialogue engine is probably next. Something that allows choices to influence the storyline.
