Did you know that the Texscan MSI Compuvid Spectragen 4B can make a picture of a Millennium Falcon?

On an unrelated note: I created this screen on a PC with a Python script and sent it over serial.

The page editor works. YAY!

Still some rough edges, but we're getting there.
a spectragen and its brand new page editor application side by side, showing that data made on the page editor shows up properly on the spectragen

also, a millennium falcon using block graphics

This is Manolo. His family invited strangers to spend time with him on his last day. His mom said, "This was such a perfect way to celebrate the life of a dog who truly loved spending time with people and their dogs. Run free and fast forever, Manolo. I will never stop missing you." 14/10 for all

It's time! After 33 years, I'm adding Gravis UltraSound support to my DOS game engine. 😄

I never owned a GUS back in the day, so it never happened. Now I've got a PicoGUS from @polpo.org (and a great emulator from @86box.net). So off we go!

Step 1A: I mirrored the final GUS SDK (v2.22) on GitHub.

They've lost it several times before. I'm not holding my breath.

*shrug*

Not sure even the admins know. From 10,000 feet: it seems like the admins don't know how to run a server properly.

But I'm not there, so I can't really say.

Recent progress on the Texscan MSI Compuvid Spectragen project: the page editor can now render graphic characters AND you can input them.

It's even funnier because I misspelled it and ruined the joke.

68KMLA?
More like 68LMIA.

* Thanks to Eric for the joke. I just thought it was funny.

Whoa, I found another floppy from original Macintosh team member Joanna Hoffman! 😳

It contains the earliest version of ResEdit I’ve seen, v1.0 D4 - from 1985! 💾

YES. I have an ancient ThinkPad as an emergency spare. Has Linux on it. Unless I'm trying to watch crazy resolution video: it just works.

donald trump is a fascistic leader who has surrounded himself with people who are explicitely pro-fascistic that want to end democracy as we know it and punish anyone who dissents. pretending otherwise leads me to believe you agree with them doing this

If you answer negative to any of these, the quality of the machine is in question. More "no" answers means crappier machine.

If it's silver, 17 inches and also HP: just shove it under a wobbly table.

I have 4 questions to determine if a PC laptop/notebook is high quality & reliable.

1) Is it a matte black finish?
2) Does it have a matte screen?
3) Is the power brick strap long enough to wrap entirely around the brick & coiled cables?
4) Are the mouse buttons separate from the track pad?

I didn't know about this Signal For Help hand gesture until today. I'm quite sure that a lot of other people don't know it either (as demonstrated in this video). If you just learned it now too then it was worth posting.

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

The last two or three times I tried making an account there it never sent the confirmation email. I frankly thought it was already dead, and were just letting people that already had accounts keep using it until they ran out of money. I ended up just joining Tinker Different to ask my questions.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

“We are home now. We marched from the park to ICE, very peaceful crowd. We were standing around ICE pushed us down, sprayed us with chemical and I was hit in the head with a projectile. This was so unprovoked. People have to know that the Feds are attacking people with NO provocation whatsoever.”

That's what I thought.
