OH! A very small mistake but is it enough to keep the French team from winning gold?!?

Wow a total score of 217.74 for Canada's ice dance pair. They've got a medal, just need to wait to see what colour. 🇨🇦

This dude on the GBR team in ice dance should be wearing a kilt. Stupid trousers rule.

Capitalizing on Canada’s third worst mass shooting by punching down on a visible minority as hard as you can is just… wow. Armstrong is an MLA. This is a power grab. Grabbing power by appealing to transphobia the day after the third worst mass shooting ever. I have no words. None.
At a time when the focus should be on a community in mourning, people like MLA Tara Armstrong are using a horrific tragedy to promote what boils down to conversion therapy. Nauseating.

A must-read today: "An entire community is mourning a horrific loss in Tumbler Ridge this week. And how it is being talked about online, and the dangerous links being made to trans people at large, will have resounding and dangerous impacts in the months and weeks to come."
NEW from me today:

Tumbler Ridge is mourning a horrific loss. But how the shooter's identity is being talked about online, and the dangerous links being made to trans people at large, will have resounding and dangerous impacts in the months and weeks to come.

The picture that's emerging is one of absolute tragedy for the young victims, a teacher, the shooter and her family.

There are unresolved questions here about why/how the guns were returned and what mental health supports were available for a deeply troubled teen.
RCMP press conference is happening now. RCMP say that as police approached the school, they were shot at. The suspected shooter is identified as Jesse Rootsellar (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling.)

"We don't have an idea yet as to motive," the RCMP just said.

So anyone claiming to know why this happened right now is full of shit.

Stop listening to disgusting ghouls with hateful agendas.

For all of the rah rah small community stuff, there are precious few mental health resources available in communities like Tumbler Ridge, but there are a lot of guns and a lot of small-minded people.

My heart breaks for the victims *and* for the perpetrator.

Oh fuck right off, whoever this second 'journalist' is during the RCMP press conference re: Tumbler Ridge.

These fucking ghouls out here layering hate onto tragedy for their own disgusting political purposes.

The shooter's gender identity doesn't fucking matter. It only matters to sick fucks trying to exploit a mass tragedy to drive an agenda of hate that will kill more kids.

Monsters, all of them.
