See, this is the energy I wanted from the movie.
When people get mad and too serious at pickleball, I often say, “if they wanted us to take it seriously, they wouldn’t have named it pickleball.”

It was not good, not even in a 'so cheesy it's actually fun and awesome' way.

I feel like this movie couldn't decide if it was taking itself seriously or not. They either needed to lean into the drama of 'saving the family farm' with real stakes, or lean into the tennis vs pickleball aspect and add more hijinks.
And it had absolutely no reason to be set at Christmas.
