I also know that I don't make myself popular with talking about this but looking at the state of the world I think its important to try to do the right thing.
I'm only getting active on X again because I can't afford it anymore to ignore the reality that the community is not moving.

Google once had mottos like "don't be evil", then "do the right thing" it seems that that is really something nostalgic of the past.

Closing it would be one thing but I also don't see a communicated change in the communication strategy that would announce to prioritize open channels like BlueSky or the forum. Only a handful of members of the Flutter team are active on both. We created the forum with the goal to have one free spot

More a western thing just means that the rest of the world does not care about the activities of its owner. Not sure that that makes me feel better.

But it would make a huge difference if Google would prefer a free an open platform. It easy to say politics doesn't matter in tech but reality is not like that.
If the Flutter Team would move all activities to Bluesky the community would follow.
