The “Labour” Party finds itself arguing ordinary workers, carers and others are “takers”.
Hey everyone, here's the news, if you aren't a high earner, entrepreneur or a "skilled frontline worker" (whatever the fuck that means) the "Labour" Party says you aren't contributing, you're a taker!
This is so disgusting.

What an obsequious, toadying, servile, brown-nosing, corrupt little cunt Gianni Infantino is.

The FIFA 'peace prize' is the most cringe-worthy, pathetic thing I've ever seen in my life.

Football deserves better than this travesty of a ceremony and ruling body.

The Prime Minister just told me any party leader should want to get to the bottom of this Russian bribery scandal with Reform.

He is the Prime Minister and a party leader. Why isn't he launching a national investigation himself?

A fantastic run. Love the very cold and sunny weather. Perfect conditions. Runner’s high kicked in. Was feeling relaxed though now I’m watching budget, this feeling is quickly disappearing 😕 #runsky #shinsplintrecovery #rookierunner

Last recovery interval run of the week, felt so great mentally and physically. Slightly faster and no shin pain 🥳 #runsky #rookierunner #shinsplintrecovery

podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/p... it is refreshing to hear the excellent arguments and insights of @stephenkb.bsky.social about the appalling Labour language & policy against immigrants. Not enough journalists challenge it.

Really enjoyed my run/ walk session today. Shins are ok, a wee bit tight but pain level under 2. It is amazing how much faster I ran 4km with intervals than when I used to only run 🤔. #shinsplintrecovery #rookierunner #runsky

Started increasing my running intervals in my road to recovery. Really didn’t want to go out as it’s freezing but, I’m glad I did. Had a great run, enjoyed the very crisp air. #rookierunner #runsky #shinsplintrecovery 🙌🏼🏃🏽‍♀️

After a week traveling & a week with a bad cold, today’s interval run was fun, really felt strong. I love running in Autumn 🍂 Can still feel a tightness in my shin, but that’s less than a 1 pain level #runsky #rookierunner #shinsplintrecovery

It’s clear to anyone paying attention that Farage gets an easy ride from the media. They give him as much airtime as he wants but never hold him to account for the damage he’s done.

So much of what’s broken in Britain is thanks to Nigel Farage.

Finally, physio is allowing me to run a tiny bit! Very small intervals for now while recovering from shin splints 🤗 only 8min run/ 12min walk but feels good after 5 weeks. I’m a DNS for this weekend’s 10k Monsal Trail run though 😭 #runsky #rookierunner

Jenrick being the loudest member of the Conservative party has already been a huge contributor to the poisoning of our politics. We really don't need any four-dimensional chess about him becoming leader. When it happens, it will be a terrible day for our country.
A Tory party under Jenrick might take a few of the racist votes from Reform, but they’d haemorrhage bucketloads to the Lib Dems.

So, on balance…

Labour has a chance now to turn a corner and win support from people who want it to succeed. Or it can continue with this type of vicious populist filth and alienate everyone. It's your call guys.

Ta to Politico for the vid, at its Labour fringe event, I explained that as big changes take time, govts should also have a team focused on small winnable change.

What little fixes'd you want?

Literally had this conversation with @zoejardiniere.bsky.social last week. Podcast out later today! An immigrant is a doctor, a care worker, an academic, often a member of our armed forces. But sure, post pictures of young men on rubber boats.
Is there a reason I ask that the Times are using a picture of asylum seekers in a boat to describe rules for migrants who came on legal routes such as skilled worker visas for doctors?
Tough new conditions to be imposed on migrants who want to settle in the UK will not apply to more than a million people who arrived in the UK under the post-Brexit immigration surge

Shin splints means no #running for a while ☹️ annoying after building consistency. So it’s the gym for now with focus on strength & cardio. I wonder whether I’ll lose the benefit of months of running 🤔. Had to cancel a trail run but hopefully I’ll be ready for #ParisHalfMarathon next March. #runsky

This has been important for a long time. Stop pandering.
Labour must finally stand up firmly against a Reform policy. Call it out for the obscenity it is. Starmer has recently finally spoken out against populism and division. What could be more populist and divisive than this? Nor for heaven's sake, don't dodge it, or excuse it. Challenge it.
