Unlucky — he hit it hard, just right at the defender. Baseball’s a cruel game sometimes.

“Well said — it’s a reminder that real change has always come from ordinary people refusing to give up. We’ve done it before, and we can do it again.”

Absolutely, history’s repeating itself in plain sight. The good news is that, just like before, public pressure, organizing, and reform movements did make a difference. We just need that same courage and solidarity now.

Assuming we save democracy, we need to #SoakTheRich with a new Revenue Act of 1935 as well as getting the corrupting money of oligarchs out of political campaigns.

“Pretty much everything you care about is undermined by that concentration of wealth and power: your health, your housing, the quality of your environment.”

We’re in the second Gilded Age just like the first — when America’s wealth was in the hands of a few, money corrupted politics, and working people were abused and exploited.

It can be easy to feel discouraged, but the first Gilded Age teaches us lessons on how we can fight back.

Exactly. History shows us that change is possible — people organized, fought for labor rights, and built movements that reshaped society. We can do it again.

Tommy Robinson told police ‘not a chance bruv’ when asked for mobile pin. He had more than £13,000 and 1,900 euros in cash with him, told officers he was driving his silver Bentley to Benidorm for a couple of days when he was stopped. As you do!

“Only Tommy Robinson could make a Bentley road trip to Benidorm with a suitcase of cash sound like a casual weekend plan.”

"From barley and hops come balance, mild enough to keep the night civil, strong enough to make conversation flow. It’s the drink of moderation, laughter and second rounds. The world could use a little more of that right now."

I am immensely proud of the extended Australian Society for Medical Research family for coordinating five Gala Dinners over the next week across five Australian cities. An awesome week ahead! Good food, amazing stories, and wonderful people.
