man we need more stories of platonic love that doesn’t fit the societal definition of standard friendship?? like we NEED that passionate intimate friendship shit that blurs the current lines so that people can be okay with having intense affection for someone they don’t want to romance or bone
Kinda bothers me when fans interpret every close same-sex relationship in media as romantic/sexual. Like I fully grasp how much "historians call them roommates" shit sucks

But I also don't think "Healthy platonic emotional intimacy btwn guys is impossible, they just wanna F U C K" is the answer?
Watching The Shining for the first time and daring to hope enough of us vote to keep democracy. If not, it will be a longer, stupider road, but we will get there.

(2/2) telling details, and it just begs to be brought to life i think.
Don't no one tell me how it ends, but I'm reading The Status Civilization by Robert Sheckley. If someone hasn't tried to make a movie out of this, they should. Every chapter could be an episode in a series. It's deceptively simple prose, lots of action condensed and condensed to a few telling

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50.

California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections.

Make a plan to vote yes on Prop 50.

“The people can take on corporate power when we act in large enough numbers,” Kabas told Ekō News. “This whole ordeal should serve as a warning to other companies who think bending to Trump’s will is going to work in their favor.”
I believe this burned-out feeling is burnout, and I absolutely know why. Gonna close my laptop
You have no idea how much I want this audiobook, or how much I love the Tennants. But I cannot buy this audiobook.
I actually spent like 12 hours reviewing and revising that family letter over and over again yesterday, didn't even check my phone game or do the dishes, which was a problem but I really needed to say what i said and give the message every chance of landing. BOYCOTT BIG CHAINS AND VOTE YES ON 50
Lol thank you Vlad the Impala. If this narrative rings wrong, I'll try putting it to song. Actually the thought of sharing it here, does bring me some cheer...?
I have spent all of a work day crafting a "holiday letter" aimed to encourage people i know to boycott xmas, except for local and independent biz. But it's not ready. Recipients either do not care or they care and they know already. So I guess I'm writing this for me. I have to?

(3/3)kid's area. And I remember the sermon because it struck a real chord: Palm Sunday. It was about doing something because it is the right thing to do, but knowing in advance that it will be hard, painful, perhaps deadly - and doing it anyway. Today I have a less extreme task, but still difficult.
